Dear Ms. Smith:
On behalf of the Nashville Public Library Special Collections Division, I would like to thank you
for your diligent work in creating partnerships that support the library’s education and outreach
mission. Over the past three years, your efforts and leadership has made a difference in
developing a greater awareness and appreciation for the unique and hidden resources found in
special collections. The Problem-Base Learning objectives you provided aided in establishing a
series of co-ventures which will rely on the Special Collections Division to support public
history curricula.
This partnership continues to lend itself to:
Provide documentation which evaluates collection strengths
Identify potential gaps in resources
Convene and connect Belmont students with the library's collections
Increase informal connections and networking between BU and NPL for future
internships and volunteer opportunities
‘Ms, Smith, there has been many advantages to this partnership. The aforementioned
demonstrates your success and innovation in community collaboration. Moreover, the final
student documentaries will add to the overall approach to public history for the millennial
generation. The Special Collections Division is proud to serve as the repository for such a
Project
look forward to future partnerships as we continue to grapple with creative experiences for
future historians,
Sincerely,
Potel adr __
