Set Induction:
Today we are going to practice some
badminton skills of hitting the birdie
overhead and underhand. The cues for
hitting the birdie overhead is get under
the birdie, extend the racket toward the
sky, contact at highest point and snap
wrist. The cues for the underhand is
racket under birdie, snap wrist, and
follow through.
Purpose:
The purpose of learning these two hitting
skills is so that the students will be able
to engage in a proper gameplay of
badminton if they ever wanted to further
their play in this sport.
Transition
When I say so the students will get with a
partner and find a poly spot to stand on
then wait for me to give them a racket
and birdie.
