IV. Learner Analysis

Eleanor is a 52 year old, English speaking learner who is right handed. She is well educated and has
identified herself as a visual learner. Eleanor does require her readers to read small print and is in good
physical condition but needs to be watched for hyperventilation when performing tasks on stairs. She
has a little voice in her head that is quite vain. She does know that the recorder is a musical
instrument, knows where the mouthpiece is on the recorder, and can identify a piece of music on sight.
She has never played a musical instrument before and does not know how to read music.
