CREATING A USER CONTEXT PROFILE IN EDPLAN

User context profiles can help narrow down your choices/information in

EdPlan for easier question/test creation and browsing. You can create
multiple profiles for your different subject areas/roles on your campus. This
makes it easy to toggle back and forth between information.
1. Click on the cog icon on the right side of the screen. Then click create to start your
new user context profile.

2. Name your user context profiles. For any collaborative profile, you might want to
name it HSC Subject for example.

3. You can select any profile as your default below the name.

4. Under content collection, you can select any you would prefer. For Collaborative
profiles, it is recommended you select HS Collaborative, HSC PR and your
school if you prefer.

5. For Content Area, pick the appropriate content you are working with.

6. For the Grade Level, you should pick the grade level that is appropriate for your
subject.
a. ELA I and II are under the specific grade level (9th and 10th grade)
b. Biology, Algebra, and US History are under High School.

7. Under course, click on Refresh and then select your appropriate course.

8. To select units, click on Refresh and then select the units you would like to pull
information from. (For the summer writing, I wouldnt select a unit since materials
are split amongst many.)

9. Under standards, you can click on Refresh to pull up standards for the courses
you have selected. You do not have to select any standards unless you are only
wanting to work with specific standards at a time.

10.
After you have finished selecting your criteria, click save and then apply in
order to start using your user context profile.

11.

Next to the cog icon, you can switch between your user profiles easily.
