Hello,
WerecentlypurchasedaplugandplaykitfortheHydrospaceS4whichweareusingforaPolarisFSTengine
(virtuallyidenticalengines).Unfortunately,theM400failstostarttheengine.Thebrakeswitchfunctionhasbeen
clearedandallthefuelandsparktrimsreadastheyshouldduringcranking.ECUmanagershowssyncbeing
achieved,andiscountingrevs.WhenIpulltheplugs,they'redry.WhenIthrowsomeetheratit,Igetnoignition.
WhenIplugtheWalbroECUbackintotheharness,theenginestartseverytime.
I'veattachedmyref/synccapture(withoutaclutchattachedI'vesincetriedwithaclutchonandtheenginestill
failstostartontheM400).IfIdidn'tknowanybetter,I'dsaytheREFsignalistooweak.Isthisacommonproblem
forthiskit?Ifso,howhaveotheruserssolvedit?

Thanksforthequickresponse!
AsfarasIknow,thesensorgapisfinetheHydrospaceandFSTversionsoftheengineusethesamesensor,
housingand(asfarasIknow)thesametriggerpattern.I'lltrytoremembermyfeelergaugestomorrow.Theonly
differenceinthephysicaltriggeringsystemisthattheFSTversionusesadifferentrotorassemblywiththetrigger
patternandthestarterclutchwhereastheHydrospaceversionalsoincorporatesamagnetorotorintothis
assembly.I'veincludedapictureforgoodmeasure.
We'reusingthisharness(http://www.weberpower.com/electricalmsxwiringharnessupdatekit.html)inaddition
tothekit'sstubharness.Wedon'thavea'chassis'harness,butwehaveakeyswitchandastarterrelaywiredin.
Imeasuredtheresistancesacrossvariouspartsofthecircuit:

I'vebeengoingoverthewiringdiagrams(refertoattachedWeberdrawing403047andMotecdrawingM400)and
I'venoticedthatthestubharnesshasonlythecranksigconnectedto0VEng(C6connectstoB16).Allofthe
sensor0Vleadsareconnectedtothechassisgroundonly(thisinturnconnectsthemtothegroundpinsonthe
M400A10andA11connecttoC2andC21respectively).Theusualsensor0Vconnection(C7)isleftdangling.
TheimpressionIgetfromdrawingM400isthatbothC6andC7shouldconnecttoB16amIwrong?
