1. Mini power point lecture including various examples.
2. Work on practice questions from the booklet.
3. Participate in the estimating square roots activity.
4. Mark the question booklet as a class.

Prior to lesson
Assume students have already learned about factors, finding the perimeter
and area of various shapes, whole numbers, and solving basic algebra.

Differentiation: I will be teaching students the knowledge through


different types of instructions. I will be verbally explaining the
terms, as well as doing various examples.

- Find a partner.
- Start counting, you can either count 1 number or count 2
numbers.
- Whoever says the number 21 wins!
- Now, try it with the alphabet.

Assessment: I will take both booklets as summative assessments
towards their final grade.
Differentiation: For those that finish with the question booklet, they
are able to work on the cumulative review questions for the unit.
For Amanda, print off a different set of questions for her to work on.
