Dear Dr. Bond:
When I read the job description on www.indeed.com for the Medical Receptionist for
the Family Practice Office at St. Marks Hospital, I was interested and excited to see
such a position available. I have had interest in the medical field for several years
now, and because of this there is no better time than now for an opportunity to
work in such a capacity. My professional goal is to apply the work experience I have
had in previous positions in a fashion that would greatly benefit you at this time.
Below I have listed a summation list of qualifications and skills that I have that
would benefit the company, in accordance with the required qualifications as well:

Three years post-high school business related education/training. In


addition to finishing High School/general education, I have completed the
requirements held by the LDS Business College to graduate with an Associates of
Science in Business. This degree had courses such as: Business 101, Business
Communications, Interpersonal Communications, Business Law & Ethics,
Accounting 105, Accounting 110, Managerial Accounting, Computer Tech, and
other varying classes. I completed such courses while maintaining a 3.78 G.P.A.
Communicate and work effectively with varieties of other people.
Confidence has become one of my foremost traits over the course of my working
career. I have been blessed with work and worked for over ten different
companies in different positions, giving me a population of different skills. The
jobs and positions I have had require(d) communication skills and prepared me
for future roles as well. I also served a full-time LDS mission in the Missouri St.
Louis Mission, thus also learning to communicate proactively with varying
peoples. Being independent and self-motivated, I understand that it is my
responsibility to initiate relations in a respectful and professional way in order for
others to trust me with that which I discuss. This is easily done in a friendly
manner, and often leads to lasting relationships whether they be businessrelated or personal.
Self-starter, independent and productive. One of the more prominent traits I
find different people telling me is that I am teachable. I have found this useful in
that, when we feel like we have arrived we do not push ourselves are
vigorously, nor do we allow others to tell us how we can improve. I have found
that this trait has lead me towards constant need for improvement, as well as
the urge to be the one to cause improvement. By being self-motivated in these
situations, I love to work, and enjoy being productive. I am a detail oriented
individual who is very precise and also a perfectionist. Having worked as a teller
for almost three years now, I know the importance of accuracy.
