SJGRENS AWARENESS NIGHT


Burlington, Ont December 6-7, 2015. Student representatives from Mohawk College are teaming up
with the Sjgrens Society of Canada to hold an awareness night for this widely unknown disease
affecting thousands of Canadians. The event aims to spread awareness of this illness and will help to
raise funds to further research for the syndrome and to help in assisting patients in receiving the
necessary medicine.

The event is being held at East Side Marios located at 2000 Appleby Line, Burlington, Ont. on
December 6 and 7 between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. The raffle is to help the Sjgrens Society of Canada
with their efforts in helping all those affected by disease and to raise awareness for those living
undiagnosed. Tickets will be sold at three for $5, 10 for $10, or 25 for $20 and prizes include a Toronto
Maple Leafs Jersey, complimentary tuxedo rental, and an assortment of gift baskets.

Founder and President Lee Dundurn says, "the Sjgrens Society is extremely grateful to the
Mohawk Agency Team for planning and implementing the December 6 and 7 event in support of people
with Sjgrens. Their kindness and generosity will help put a human face on this debilitating,
underestimated disease affecting 3 times more people than MS or Lupus, yet most have never heard of
it before."

The Sjgrens Society of Canada aims to provide support and encouragement to all who have Sjgrens
Syndrome, and to provide information and education to patients, the public and the medical community
as to the symptoms, condition and research findings. Sjgrens Society of Canada is determined to make
a difference for those newly diagnosed with Sjgrens, the society was established in 2006 to improve
