A young girl saw a program about famous ballerina Anna Pavlova, who died unexpectedly on the day she was scheduled to perform her signature ballet in Paris. When the audience and musicians arrived at the theater to find out Pavlova had passed, they proceeded with the full performance as planned, with a single spotlight moving through her parts on stage to honor her memory, though she could not physically be there. The girl found this tribute to be a beautiful way for the renowned dancer to be remembered in her final performance.

Pavlova. Do you know her? She died. And she was meant to be dancing that night. In Paris. And everyone was there. All the musicians and the audience and everyone. All waiting for her. And then they got told shed died. And do you know what they did? They did the whole thing the whole ballet right from the beginning to the end with all the musicians and the dancers and they just shone a light where she was meant to be. They just shone one light and it moved around where she was meant to be dancing. And everyone watched the light and they knew she wasnt there but she was, you know? And I thought it was the most beautiful way to die in the world.
She Would if She Could: "When love grows diseased, the best thing we can do is to put it to a violent death. I cannot endure the torture of a lingering and consumptive passion."
