Establish a rigorous classroom environment that provides students opportunities to apply historical skills
in seminars and written work.
Foster students ability to demonstrate historical understanding by developing evidence based
arguments.
Facilitate lessons that allow students to engage in a variety of primary and secondary sources.
Prepare students to be successful in a college setting by creating class culture that extends beyond the
classroom through the use of Google Docs, study groups and Remind 101.
US History
Implement unit plans that are rooted in developing historical thinking skills and critical thinking that
engage and challenge IEP and ELL students.
Utilize school-wide literacy strategies and SIOP methods to develop students reading and writing skills.
Challenge students to craft arguments, using historical evidence, in response to DBQ and writing
prompts.
Promote student involvement in extracurricular activities to develop active participation in social studies;

United Nations Foundation: Girl Up
Hosted Girl Up Dundees first Gala with special guest Senator Michael Noland and 70 people for dinner to
raise funds and awareness for the health, safety and education for girls in developing nations.
Develop school awareness for girls rights around the school community through participation in school
events, including hosting a He Named Me Malala screening and discussion.
Assistant National Honor Society
Foster student leadership and service in the community.
Host an all-member community clean up event that worked to improve the neighborhoods near school.
Junior Varsity Softball Coach
