Students will look at a picture of the US and Australia
side by side projected on the board.
They will be asked what are some similarities and
differences between these two countries.
If they only start telling me physical details, I will ask for
more internal similarities and differences.

Students will independently view the contents of a given
information, and compose there own Venn diagram
comparing the US and Australia. (1)
In a group activity, students will incorporate themselves
into a life size Venn diagram comparing and contrasting
America to Australia with 100% accuracy. (2)

Summary & Review of the Learning
Filling out the last part of the KWL chart what they
learned
Once everyone has finished the KWL, a volunteer will
reading out the big idea and essential questions and
give examples as to how we completed them.

the guiding the practice due to the way I formed my
lesson.
