Therapy in any way. This mock exam was made for the sole purpose of helping individuals
practice typical interview questions. Any scenarios in the exam are purely hypothetical, a
figment of my own imagination and a compilation of resources freely available across the
World Wide Web.

1) a) Why did you decide to apply to the physiotherapy program?

2) a) You are the financial decision maker for the Department of Physical Therapy at a
hospital. The Department has enough funding to either approve a new, sophisticated
wheelchair for a 50 year old man, who has been suffering with a paralyzed body for
10 years, or to approve a new device that assists patients regain use of their legs after
partial, but temporary, paralysis. Only one of the two may be approved. Which do
you approve and why?

b) If you were given $10 million to improve the rehabilitative sector of Canadas
Healthcare System, how would you spend it and why?

c) i) Parliament votes to cover all rehabilitative therapy under OHIP. How does this
affect the quality of care that patients receive?

5) a) A recent Toronto Star article highlighted that many individuals in the aboriginal
community are not aware of the benefits of physical therapy, and how such therapy
can alleviate suffering and often restore lost mobility. How would you go about
correcting this lack of awareness?
b) Very few graduates from healthcare related professional schools choose to practice
in rural regions, resulting in a shortage of healthcare staff in those regions. What
could professional schools do to try and solve this problem?

c) If there was one thing you would do to improve the Admissions Process at U of Ts
Department of Physical Therapy, what would that be and why?
