A spiritual and inspiration poster montage

blending two or more images, and a good use of

Objectives

Learn to use photoshop, while learning

good typography skills, how to blend
images together nicely and using filters.

Process

First, I went through and found images

that I liked and that I thought would be
spiritually uplifting and have to do with
each other. Then I found a quote that
would go along nicely with the photos.
I added the photo of Christ with the
child, and then added the photo of
the sheet music and changed the
opacity and the overlay settings. I
then added the words.

Taking a photograph on our own and editing it
using photoshop.

Programs Used Canon Camera & Adobe Photoshop

Objectives

Learn basic photography skills and how to

edit a nice photo within Photoshop.

Process

First, I chose a color scheme which I

decided on Anagolous. Then I went
out and took a picture. After I had
my picture I went into Photoshop and
edited the brightness, saturation,
focus, etc. Then I applied the words
and added small images of the
colours used.

Description

Create a logo and then create a website illustrating

how we made the logo using the same colours.

Objectives

Process

Gain a knowledge of basic CSS and HTML

while also applying our use of finding
colours.
I did this project a little differently. First, I
create a logo with pretty fonts
and basic nice colours. Then I went
in and created an HTML page with
information about how I created the
logo. I specifically made this web
page look as though its a blog since
the logo is for a Blog Design company.

Description

Design a flier for a Graudate Leadership

Conference hosted by the Vouant
Communication company in black and white.

Programs Used Adobe InDesign

Objectives

Process

Learn how to design when given the

information and images, and how to do so
only using black and white.
First, I did a lot of rough sketches of this
design using different images that were
available and different positioning and
layouts. Once I found one that I liked I
downloaded the appropriate image, and
went into InDesign and arranged it like
my sketch looked.

picture scanned from a magazine.

Process

Learn about image sizing, find, scan, and

import a high quality image, create a fullbleed design. Choose a colour scheme.

First, I went through magazines to find a good

quality image with no writing on it.
After that, I thought of a fundraiser that
can be applied to that image I scanned.
Once I had that I found a color scheme
and added sentences using Microsoft Word.

Process

First, I sketched out a bunch of different

logos for different companies. Once that
was done, I went into Illustrator and
looked at fonts and colours and began
using the different tools to create the logo
I had sketched out.

Create a brochure for either an exisiting business

or for one that you make up.

Objectives

Process

To learn how to align and set up a two sided,

folded document. Create an original and
new logo to use in the prochure. Trim for a
full bleed.
First, I decided what company I wanted to
represent. Once I had, I designed a quick
but effective logo in Illustrator. Then I went
into InDesign and figured out which type
of brochure I wanted and aligned it all. I
also cut out an image and had words wrap
around it.
