Halle Connors hasbeenanexcellentstudentteacheraswellasaveryresponsibleanddedicatedperson,
who has the natural instincts of an effective classroom manager. She has displayed many strong
organizationalandcreativequalities,andshewouldmakeanexcellentemployee.
Halleisveryresponsibleanddedicated.Shehasworkedwithstudentsbeforeschoolandduringadvisory,
providingthemwiththefeedbackandguidancetheyhaveneeded.Duringclass,shehandlesstudentswell.
Sheprovidesspecificencouragementandguidancetotheirdiscussions,andherwrittenfeedbackonwriting
assignmentsisbothconstructiveandspecifictotheirneededareasofimprovement.Sheisalsoclearlyin
controlofthestudents.Shehandlespotentialdisciplineissuesquickly,firmly,andcalmly.Sheisanatural
atclassroommanagement.
Halleisalsoveryorganizedandmeticulous.Infact,shedevelopedlessonplansweeksbeforesheactually
neededthem.Forexample,forEnglishIII,shebeganteachingtheHarlemRenaissanceliteratureinearly
February; however,herplanswerepreparedatthebeginningofJanuaryandshehadtakenhomethe
textbookandreadallofthepiecesoverChristmasbreak.Shealsogradespapersinatimelyfashion,which
meansthatshetakespapershometogradeintheeveningsandonweekends.
Hallecollaborateswellandworkswiththecurriculumtocomeupwithassignmentsthatfitherpersonal
approachandinterests,aswellasmeetingstandardsfortheCommonCore.Shehascollaboratedwithmein
JournalismI,inwhichwehaveteamtaughtunitsonyearbookandadvertising.Shehasworkedsmoothly
with me, and when she is unsure about something, she always asks questions, which illustrates her
dedicationtoexpandingherownknowledgeaswellasteachingthestudentswell.Shehasalsoshown
creativitywithherassignments,suchasdesigningaphotoessayassignmentforthe1930sunit.Thisunit
integratesanumberofCommonCoregoals,includingwriting,criticalthinking,andtechnology.
Besidesbeinghardworking,Halleistakesconstructivecriticismwell,andsheadjustssmoothlytonew
situations. She is respectful of students and colleagues, and she is helping to develop successful and
responsiblestudents.
