Elements of a Short Story
1. Setting- it tells the reader where and when the story takes place
2. Character - s a person, or sometimes even an animal, who takes part in the
action of a short story or other literary work.
3. Plot a series of events through which the writer reveals what is happening
to, whom and why.
4. Conflict- is a struggle between two people or things in a short story. The main
character is usually on one side of the central conflict.
5. Theme the message the writer intends to communication by telling the
story.
