4. The day was great for skiing. The snow
was perfect, the sun was shining
brightly and there was no cloud in the
sky.

the field , the crowd burst into applause.

edge of the forest just as the avalanche
reached the slopes. She saw a small
wooden hut among the trees. She was
crying because she knew she was saved.

no chance of being rescued. He was dying.
Now he wished he were in his
comfortable bed at home.

d. As they were walking round the corner,

they saw the students hurrying towards the
notice board. Now is the moment of
truth , her friend said. They ve posted
the results!
