Animal Slaughterhouses
Animal Slaughterhouses shouldnt be allowed because it tortures animals, animals carry
diseases, and it decreases the animal population. Even though some people believe that animal
slaughterhouses are good because we need meat in our bodies to stay healthy, animal
slaughterhouses shouldnt be allowed because it tortures animals, factory farmers and
animals carry diseases, and the animal population decreases.
Animal slaughterhouses should be banned because it tortures animals. Animals are
packed into spaces so tight that most can barely move. Many have no access to the outdoors,
spending their lives on open warehouse floors or housed in cages or pens.Animals in factory
farms suffer every day by getting beat by farmers and getting electrocuted with electric pongs.
life in a slaughterhouse is one pain, frustration and misery. animals are tortured bad in animal
slaughterhouses. There are no federal laws governing the conditions in which farmed animals
are raised. The majority of farmed animal suffering is exempt from the state criminal anti-cruelty
laws. while animals are being tortured, the state criminal anti-cruelty are failing to protect farmed
animals.
The state criminal anti-cruelty laws are failing to protect animals. farmed animals are
unprotected by most state criminal anti-cruelty laws and even omitted from the federal animal
welfare Act. The only federal oversight of their treatment comes during transportation and
slaughter. The 28 hour law requires vehicles transporting animals for slaughter to stop every 28
hours to allow animals exercise, food, and water. this law is rarely enforced, and the USDA
claims it does not apply to birds.- farmed animals and the law. This is the reason why animal
slaughterhouses have not been banned, because this law is rarely enforced. Animals only get
treated during transportation and slaughter. In similar fashion, there are other laws that are failing

to protect animals such as The state law exemptions.

The state law exemptions is the industry defines what practices are standard and
therefore exempt. Animals are confined in small spaces that they cannot turn around, extend their
wings or even.lie down comfortably. Animals can have their testicles, tails, horns, beaks, or
toes, removed without anesthesia. Male chicks are ground up alive, and piglets are killed by
slamming their heads on hard floor.- State Law exemption. Animals are being tortured horribly.
Even though factory farms are covered by state anti-cruelty laws, prosecution for abuse is rare
because of the factors like limited investigation. In conclusion Animals are being tortured and
killed for meat, and no one is stopping it. However, animals do carry disease and are spread
around many different ways you did not even know.
Animal slaughterhouses should be banned because animals carry diseases. Factory farm
animals carry diseases like, E. coli, MRSA, Salmonella. These are the four diseases affected by
CAFOs.The stress and unsanitary conditions of CAFOs weaken animal's immune system.Monica Nickelburg. This is the reason why animal slaughterhouses should be banned. Diseases
can be spread quickly. These four diseases can be really harmful to the animals, farmers, and our
environment.
While diseases are being spread by factory farm animals, The human health and our environment
are being hurt by factory farming.
Human health and our environment are being hurt by factory farming.Human health and
our environment are being hurt by factory farming. Farms that are not properly maintained can
be breeding grounds for Salmonella and E.coli, which are passed to humans through meat.ASPCA. The diseases that are in the meat can spread to people who don't wash their meat

products properly. it can also be spread to the farmers and their families. These disease can be
also spread through dairy and eggs. However, you can control diseases in farm animals.
There are way you can control diseases in farm animals. Disease outbreak among farm
animals can cause significant economic damage. You can limit the impact through preventative
and control measures. you must ensure that you follow biosecurity procedures, such as cleaning
and disinfecting premises and vehicles. if there is an outbreak, government contingency plans
will be followed. These plans include designating affected premises, setting up protection and
surveillance zones, and controls on livestock movements.- controlling diseases. Biosecurity
measures can help prevent the spread of farmed diseases. Biosecurity also protects agricultural
workers and visitors. This also applies to animals on farms and animals being moved. In
conclusion, animal diseases can be controlled by Biosecurity. On the other hand, animal
slaughter should be banned because it decreases the animal population.
Animal slaughterhouses should be banned because it decreases the animal population.
Over 99% of farm animals in the U.S. are raised in factory farms. more than 9 billion animals die
in the U.S. because of factory farming. A factory farm is a large, industrial operation that raises
large numbers of animals for food. Over 99% of farm animals in the U.S. are raised in factory
farms, which focuses on the profit and efficiency at the expense of animal welfare.-ASPCA.
Animal slaughterhouses are killing Millions of animals for food, and its hurting our planet
because the number of animals decreasing. Since animal slaughter is hurting our planet because
its decreasing the animal population, its also the number one cause of global warming.
Animal slaughter is the number 1 cause of global warming. producing meat for the table
has a surprising environment cost: it releases prodigious amounts of heat trapping greenhouses.
Most people are aware that our cars, our coal generated electric power and even our cement

factories adversely affect the environment. According to a 2006 report by the United Nations
Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), our diets and specifically, the meat in them cause
more greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide.- ScientificAmerican. This
is the reason why it is the number one cause of global warming. The more they slaughter the
animals, the worst it gets for our planet. Greenhouse gases trap solar energy, thereby it is
warming the earth's surface. While animal slaughtering being the number one cause of global
warming, What would happen if animals were not slaughtered for food? would the animal
population exceed?
The population of animals will exceed if animals were not slaughter for food. The
population of animals that are raised for food already will exceed the number of people. Note
that because food chickens are slaughtered at 5-7 weeks, there are many more chickens alive in
any given year than are indicated by a point in time headcount. An estimated 600 million sheep
and goats, and 360 million cattles, are raised exclusively on grazing system.-quora. If animal
slaughter was banned the population of the animals will exceed. which wont be bad for our
planet, nor our health. The number of animals will increase if animal slaughter was banned.
These are reasons why Animal slaughterhouses should be banned. In conclusion, the number of
animals are decreasing due to animal slaughterhouses.
Many other sources, however argue that we need meat in our bodies to stay healthy. The
meat in our bodies helps keep the blood sugar stable. keeping your blood sugar stable cannot
only help you from preventing type 2 diabetes and other diseases, it also helps you have more
even energy levels. Also, makes you feel more satiated between meals. Keeping your blood sugar
stable will also help you feel less hungry and reduce your cravings for unhealthy foods. A meat
centered diet can help with weight loss. Eating meat takes fewer calories to get protein than it

does from vegetarian options. What this argument fails to consider is that animals carry diseases.
Which is bad for your health. Meat can be really harmful to your body, because animals carry
very serious disease like the swine flu, and E. coli disease.
Modern slaughter techniques minimize the suffering of the animals. Slaughterhouses
must conform to the human methods of slaughter act (HMSA). It mandates that livestock be
stunned unconscious before slaughter. Many U.S. meat producers also cohere to the handling
standards, expanded by Dr. Temple Grandin. He featured in animal psychology to design
transportation devices, stock yards, loading ramps and restraining systems that reduce stress and
calm animals as they are led to slaughter. This view seems convincing at first, but
slaughterhouses torture animals horribly. They are beaten to death, they are electrocuted with
electric pongs. Animals in slaughterhouses are put into small crates that they can barely move.
There is nothing inherently cruel about raising animals for food. There is a growing
gesture to raise cruelty free organic meat. In the U.S. animals raised for endorsing organic
meat must be given entry to the outdoors, clean air, and water. Animals cannot be given growth
hormones or antibiotics and they must be fed organically- grown feed free of animal byproducts.
According to a 2007 report from the range improvement task force, organic meat rated for 3% of
total U.S. meat production. The end of 2012 natural and organic beef accounted for 4% of total
beef sales in the U.S. While this position is popular, it is not logical because animals in
slaughterhouses are not cruelty free. The way they are raising and killing the animals is hurting
our environment.

This graph shows the number of chickens killed in 2006. Although every year the number of
chickens slaughtered increases. 3,9 billion chickens were slaughtered in 2006. It increased 8.7%
and 2.0% respectively in comparison with the previous year. Also, in 2006 25,5 million pigs and
hogs were slaughtered.
