World War I Advancement Writing Prompt:

You are at a war crimes trial after World War I. You have been asked (by your home
country, Germany) to defend the weapon/technology advancements you made in
World War I. You need to be clear on WHAT advancements you have chosen, WHAT
they do, WHY they were needed in combat. You will also need to address the
counter argument for one of the advancements, and disprove it.
You must defend the use of at least THREE advancements:
-Trench Warfare
-Grenades
-Chemical Weapons
-Flamethrower
-Artillery
-Tank
-Submarine/Torpedoes
In your defense, you must utilize at least 3 ideologies we have studied:
Militarism, Nationalism, Imperialism and Alliances
You must also use at least three vocab words correctly: Acronym, Trench
Warfare, Militarism, Alliance, Imperialism, Nationalism, Assassinate, Persecute,
Emperor, Occupied, Neutrality and Diplomacy.
