2.1 Introduction:
Now days, almost human life becomes more and more easier. It is possible
only because of the technology. Various online systems make the life of
human very comfortable. By some clicks only, we can get whatever we want
at home. We already know about the online shopping, e-banking, etc.
Similarly, The Car Rental System is the online facility to book cars online
within few clicks only. Some people cannot effort of having a car, for those
people this system becomes very helpful. This system includes various cars,
as per the customer order and comfort, it place the order and deliver the car
as per the location within the area. For travelling a long distance, booking
can be done via internet service only.
This online system will provide the facility to admin to add a new car, delete
a car, modify a car or booked a car to the customer. A customer can get a car
on rent online by online payment. It will facilitate the human being in their
much busy life. This system will also very helpful to those users of rental
organization who unaware from their traveling rout by providing them the
online map from pick up to return place. As every organization want to
satisfy their customers, so system will provide a feedback area to get
feedbacks from the customers. The main purpose of a Car Rental System to
be implemented is to manage information about Cars, Customers and the
system users related to the company.
So this will be done very mannered way by this car rental project. Now days,
everyone searches things on internet, if a organization will managed their
activities manually then there is keen chances that it couldnt compete other
organizations. Therefore, this project has also much importance in this way.

2.2 Project Feasibility:

When a project is started the first matter to establish is to assess the
feasibility of a project or product. Feasibility means the extent to which
appropriate data and information are readily available or can be obtained
with available resources such as staff, expertise, time, and equipment. It is
3

basically used as a measure of how practical or beneficial the development

of a software system will be to you (or organization). This activity recurs
throughout the life cycle.

There are many types of feasibilities:

Technical
Operational
Economic
Schedule
Specification
Information
Motivational
Legal and Ethical

2.2.1 Technical Feasibility:

We used different tools and technology for the development of this project.
Definitely these tools and technology has fully command and maintenance
and development for this project in today and future in web designing. All
tools done different work like HTML (hypertext markup language) used for
built a basic structure of project (Online Car Rental System), CSS (Cascading
Style Sheet) used for the design of this project, JS (Java Script) used for
different alerts authentication checking, PHP (Personal Home Page) used for
database connectivity like insert view delete and update the data.

2.2.2. Operational Feasibility:

Operational feasibility is dependent on human resources available for the
project and involves projecting whether the system will be used if it is
developed and implemented.
Operational feasibility is a measure of how well a proposed system solves the
problems, and takes advantage of the opportunities identified during scope
4

definition and how it satisfies the requirements identified in the requirements

analysis phase of system development.
Operational feasibility reviews the willingness of the organization to support
the proposed system. This is probably the most difficult of the feasibilities to
gauge. In order to determine this feasibility, it is important to understand the
management commitment to the proposed project. If the request was
initiated by management, it is likely that there is management support and
the system will be accepted and used. However, it is also important that the
employee base will be accepting of the change.
The essential questions that help in testing the operational feasibility of a
system include the following:
Does current mode of operation provide reliable services

Are the services flexible and expandable?

Are the current work practices and procedures adequate to support the
new system?

If the system is developed, will it be used?

Manpower problems

Labor objections

Manager Resistance

Organizational conflicts and policies

Social acceptability

Government regulations

Does management support the project?

Are the users not happy with current business practices?

2.2.3. Economic Feasibility:

Economic feasibility have more two types.
Cost Estimation, further two types in which
a. One time cost b. Recurring cost
One Time Cost:
Before the development of project In which we use
Laptop
Operating system
5

Application
Notepad++, Google Chrome, xampp.
Total cost before development is round about 50000/b. Recurring Cost:
There are two types of ongoing estimation.
x. Operational Cost

y. Maintenance Cost

We have our own software and we also have extra tools and technology. If
there occurs any fault in these components then its cost round about 10000.

2.2.4. Schedule Feasibility:

We give time round about 8 months for the development of this project Inshallah.
Our group members are working in the supervision of supervisor. How Time on
every activity show on this Gantt Chart.

2.2.5. Specification Feasibility:

Our project has the ability to increase the features in future. In which we
have tried to embed

2.2.5. Specification Feasibility:

2.2.6. Information Feasibility:

We have covered all the information regarding to the car rental system. As it
is based on online services so it will manage their all information and provide
the facility of online registration which will help the customers to save their
time and cost as well.

2.2.7. Motivational Feasibility:

The probability that the organization is sufficiently motivated to support the

development and implementation of the application with necessary user
participation, resources training, time etc.

2.2.8. Legal & Ethical Feasibiliy:

This project supports legally and ethically to all customers. We provide our
disclaimer and our privacy policy to customers. This warranty gives you
specific legal rights and may also have other legal rights that vary from state
to state.
