Description
: This course is a study of representative works of literary masterpieces of the world. This will
deal with the studies of the best samples of literary pieces highlighting on the understanding of the
people, their widely divergent cultures, civilizations and attitudes and will share with the students a
deeper perspective on the tradition of human excellence.

OBJECTIVES OF THE TEACHER EDUCATION DEPARTMENT


1. Provide quality instruction to produce teachers with sufficient knowledge and skills necessary for immediate and gainful
employment and in making
them professional;
2. Expose students to varied activities and experiences that will encourage them to think critically so that they may be
able to do their work intelligently;
3. Involve students in research and extension activities that will make them useful and productive members of the
community in particular and the
nation in general;
4. Instill in students desirable values that are necessary in their development as human beings.

At the end of the semester the students can:

1. Articulate the relationship of education to larger historical, social, cultural and political processes;
2. Facilitate learning using a wide range of teaching methodologies in various types of environment;
3. Develop alternative teaching approaches to diverse learners;
4. Apply skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, materials development, instructional delivery and educational
assessment;
5. Demonstrate basic and higher levels of thinking skills in planning, assessing and reporting;
6. Practice professional and ethical teaching standards to respond to the demands of the community;
7. Pursue a lifelong learning foe personal and professional growth.

This course is a study of representative works of literary masterpieces of the world. This will
deal with the studies of the best samples of literary pieces highlighting on the understanding
