PUBLIC OFFICIAL PARTNERS WITH POPULACE TO PRETTIFY PEASQUITOS PRESERVE


San Diego, CA: On Sunday, March 20th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., San Diego City Councilmember Chris
Cate, City of San Diego Park Rangers, and Rancho Peasquitos residents will be repairing and restoring the
Los Peasquitos Canyon Preserve trails that were damaged from last months rainstorms.
The Los Peasquitos Canyon Preserve encompasses 4,000 acres of both Peasquitos and Lopez Canyons.
The Preserve is jointly owned and administered by the City of San Diego and County of San Diego.
With one-third of Rancho Peasquitos being open space, the community has become a prime location for
outdoor recreation. The Los Peasquitos Canyon Preserve allows people of all ages and abilities an
opportunity to explore San Diegos rich biodiversity, stated Councilmember Cate.

WHERE: Peasquitos Canyon Trailhead North, Camino Del Sur & Park Village Road (southwest corner)
