Before watching the ABC video ask what time does anybody get up in the
morning and what time do you go to sleep?- ask a few students with their
hands raised. Write on board
Ask those students how that time is written in 24-hour time.
Watch ABC video
While viewing pause at 1.10min; ask students what time is 1535 (make sure to
only ask students who hand has been raised); write in IWB word document.

Pause at 1.35; ask students why it is 24-hour time is used in the health,
transport and military? Write down on IWB word document. *continue video*
Pause at 1.47; ask students what terminology is used for 12-hour time (AM &
PM), ask what AM and PM stands for; write in IWB word document. *continue

Pause at 2.11; ask students in 12-hour time what is 0600 hours? Write in IWB

Pause at 2.17; ask students in 12-hour time what is 2200 hours? Write in IWB

Ask students to write down their daily activities from when they wake up to
when they go to bed. Write times down in 12-hour time (am & pm), next to it
convert to 24-hour time.

that is the same on the board (below) and turn on their iPad.

Ask students to open up the KWL resource in their bookmarks and type in their
names and the topic (24-hour time)
Explain to students to complete the K (what they know), W (what they want to
learn) and L (what they learnt).
Once finished ask the students to share file and to email it to your address
(write email the board)
