She has been a student in my music education ‘methods classes and completed her student teaching under my supervision. Liesl possesses a positive and enthusiastic personality. She has a great rapport with her peers and other faculty members at the college. In addition to participation in many ensembles and musical theater, she has served in many leadership positions. Some of these include: officer in Marching Band and Touring Choir, fine arts building key-holder, and president of the Grove City College Newman Club. She has also voluntarily given private voice and piano students both at home and at Grove City College. 1 supervised Liesl’s student teaching during the Spring 2010 semester. Her student teaching experience was extremely successful. Her musicianship is superior, and she allowed this quality to guide her teaching. She displayed outstanding teaching and planning abilities. Her lesson plans were superior in their content and creativity. The elementary students she taught were responsive to her teaching style. She was very comfortable and capable in the secondary choral arena as well. She participated in both in-school choral activities as well as those that would be considered extra-curricular.
