WHAT WAS THE COLD

WAR?

The Cold War was a state of economic, political and military tension
between the United States of America and its allies, against the
union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) and its allies
This name was given due to the relationship that developed primarily
between the USA and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics after
World War II
The main thing that triggered the Cold War to exist was the urge of
dominance of the United States and the Union of Soviet Socialist
Republics to the international affairs of decades
USA and USSR were actually the most powerful World War II allies
After the war, the two victors couldnt agree on the makeup of the postwar world
In 1945, the first tension arose in Europe where their enemies face
each other after the defeat of Germany
Throughout the Cold War, USA and USSR were wary of confronting one
another militarily, since both feared that it will eventually lead to
nuclear war. Instead, it has lead to proxy wars; the overlay of
domestic friction, such as that between North and South Korea with
the worldwide competition between the USA and USSR
In the end, it was concluded that the outbreak was due to the different
ways of thinking, called ideology; both economy and government
Cold war ended in 1991 with the disintegration of the USSR.

Lots of citizens thought that the most worrying issue was the growth
in weapons of mass destruction. However, our group believe that this
resulted to our technologically-based world and comfort that were
living in now.
