Lesson Focus: To polish the cues of the underhand


throw, and be capable of performing and reciting
them.

# Of students: About 20 Students

Equipment and Facilities: 10 pinnies, 20 cones, 4


polyspots, 5 beanbags and 2 Hula-Hoops None of
which will be color specific

Safety Considerations: The main safety


considerations for the lesson will pertain to the
students running into each other during Capture the
flag. Also, getting hit with a ball during the clean
your room activity. (minimized by using gator balls)
Lesson Specifics
Behavioral Contingencies: 2 Strike Plan. Worksheet
Previously Learned Skills: Students will need to have
fill out
the ability to underhand throw with minimum
success.

Teaching Strategy: Direct Instruction will be the


primary strategy utilized in this lesson.

Student
Objectives:

Academic Language: Freeze!, Tick-Step-Tock

Psychomotor (P): The student will be able to underhand throw a beanbag to a stationary
target 15 feet away 80% of the time.
Cognitive (C): The student will be able to accurately recite the given cues of the underhand
throw 100% of the time.
H-R Fitness (H): The student will be able to maintain MVPA for 50% of the lesson.
Objectives contain: A (audience), B (behavior), C (condition), and D (degree)
