that can be mounted to a workbench,
on. drill press table, or as part of a ripping
jig for the table saw, seee photos at righL
The clampisdesigned with onesideolthe

cylindrical block to allow a range of options
in the thickness of Siock you can damp <up
to 3"), refer to Fig. 2.
The clamp is held in place with a large
wing nut that's screwed onto a 6"long machine boh. see Fig. 2. This machine bolt is
screwed into a Tnut mounted in the tOPof
the workbench or in a jig.
ARM.To make the ann. lay out the pattern
on a 11'l"thick blank as Mo ..n in Fig. 1.
Betore culling out the shape. bore a 7110;"
hole through the lOP of the block for Ute
machine bolt to pass through. see Fig. 3.
Next. cut out \he half circle pivor block
and save this piece. see rig. 4.
To allow the arm 10 pivot around the rnachine bolt <as ,;bOWD in Pig. 2). you need to
bore out a clearance slot, Bore a series of
holes through the bottom of the block all the
way through to the pivot area. see Fig. s.
Now you tan cut the arm to shape on a
band saw. Then clean out the slOi with a
chisel and Jile. To assemble the parts. insert
the machine boluhroegh thearm and screw
it ;'110 a T'mn mounted in ajig or bench. see
Fig. 2. To keep the bolt from going too far.
