    MooresvillehasbeenmyhomeforelevenyearsnowandIlivewithmymom,stepdad,andlittle
    brother.OneofmytalentsisbeingartisticandIfeelIcanexpressmyselfthroughtheartwork
    thatImake.MymajorgoalrightnowistograduatethisyearsoIcanexperiencetheworldfor
    myselfandlearnevenmore.Myphilosophyinlifeisnomatterhowhardyougetbeatdownyou
    canalwayspickyourselfupagainandbecomeevenstronger.AftermysophomoreyearatPine
    LakeIleftforaboardingschoolinChattanooga,Tennessee.Ihadtoreclassasasophomore
    againbutafteroneyearIdecidedtoreturntoPineLake.Ihaveplayedorparticipatedinthe
    footballprogrameveryyearIhaveattendedthisschoolandIcantsayIhaveexperienced
    anythinglikeitbefore.ThisschoolisveryspecialtomeandIholditveryclosetomyheart.

    ForthePrideProject,Iwouldliketoaccomplishsomethingthattheschoolwill
    remembermeforandreflectstheresearchIdiscoveredwhilewritingthePridePaper.SinceI
    havealwayshadaninterestinartandbuildingthingsIchosemytopic,industrialdesign.An
    industrialdesignersjobistotakeanordinaryobject,likeabench,andimproveitinthewaysof
    aestheticsandusefulness.

    Iplanonmakingamodernstyle8footlongbenchandIwillprovidedetailedblueprints
    oftheproduct.Thebenchwillhaveabackwitharmsandaslopingfront.Eachslatofwoodwill
    haveagapprovidingequalweightspacing.ThematerialsIwillneedaretwenty2x8beams,
    screwsandfour5x5woodenboardsfortheframe.Thiswilltakemeapproximatelytwenty
    hourstocomplete.Theproductwillbedonebythe20thofFebruary.Iwillbringthebenchinon
    presentationdayanddisplayitintheroomalongwithshowingpicturesofthebenchbeingbuilt
    onmypresentation.IplanondonatingthebenchtotheschoolafterIpresentbecauseIwillbe
    paintingitinPineLakesnavybluecolor.
