    Densityistheamountandmassdividedbythevolume.Overtheyears,pennieshavechangedoverthematerialsthatarenow
    usedinthem.In1982,thepennieswereonlymadeof100%copper.Todaythepennieshaveadifferentdesignanditismadeof
    copperwithacoatingofzinc.Thecoatingofthezincmadethepenniesfrompost1982lessdense.Forthislabwecollected
    penniesfrombefore1982andpenniesfromthepresent.Wecollectedallofthosepenniestofindoutthedifferencebetweenthe
    densitybetweenthetwo.Weusedagraduatedcylindertofindthevolume,andascaletofindthemass.Tofinddensity,you
    havetofindthedifferencebetweenmassandvolume.Wefoundoutthatthepenniesfromthepresenthavelessdensitythanthe
    penniesformbefore1982.Myhypothesiswasaccepted.Wediscoveredthatthethepenniesfromtodayarelessdensebecause
    theislesscopperthenbeforeandzincmadeitlessdense.

    3.INTRODUCTION
    WhatwehavelearnedaboutthistopicisthatthedensityofthepenniesinPre1982hasmoreanditishigherthanzinc.Before
    1982,thepenniesweremadeofonlycopper,afterthattimethepenniesweremadewithcopperwithacoatingonzinc.Weknow
    howtomeasuremassandvolumetocalculatedensity.WhatIhavelearnedisthattherecouldbechangesovertheyearsfor
    somematerialsthatareredesignedinthisworld.Thepenniesareredesignedovertheyearswithnewmaterial.Theyusedzinc
    withthecoppertomakethepennieslessdense.

    8.CONCLUSION
    Myhypothesiswasaccepted.Thedifficultiesthatwemayhavemadewaswhilemeasuringthevolume,theconfusionofhow
    muchofourdatahasraisedwhilecontinuouslyaddingthepenniesinthewater.Anothererrorthatwecouldhavemadeisifthe
    amountofwaterwaswronginthegraduatedcylinder.Wecomparedourresultswiththeclassandfoundoutthattherangeof
    densityandoveralltheclasshadaround5and6forvolume,andmassfor..Ithinkthatourresultswereaccuratebecauseweall
    checkedoverouranswersmultipletimestoseeiftherewereanyerrors.Weaskedquestionsofweneedanyreassuring.Our
    resultswerearoundthegoalrangeforbothmassandvolumeforbothpennies.

    Thereasonsofpenniestohavelessormoredensityovertheyearsisthecompaniesareaddingorremovingmaterialfromthe
    pennies.Since1982,thepennieshaveonlybeenmadewithcopper.Inthepresent,thepenniesnolongerhavethetraditional
    designsonthemandusedalayerofzincalsoremovingsomecopper.IfoundourfindingsinterestingbecauseIdidntthinkthat
    companieswouldbeablethechangemoney.Idontseethepointofchangingthematerialsofpennies..Iwonderwhat
    equipmentwasusedtoaddzincandremovesomeofthecopperonthepennies.Howlongistheprocesstoaddzinc?
