Architecture Overview for Upgrade Estimation Tool

The Siebel Upgrade Estimation Tool has been developed in Excel VBA 2003. Visual Basic for
Application (VBA) code will work if Microsoft Office Excel 2003 version or higher is installed on
users machine
User must enable macros to be able to use the excel Tool. And Select Enable Macros option when
the Tool is opened up first time.
The tool shows the input form which is required to generate the estimation.
The tool connects to the Siebel Repository through the ODBC connection given in the input form to
run the SQLs inside the VB code to get the object count for the estimation.
Once it gets the Objects utilizes the Estimation matrix to generate the estimation for Pre-Upgrade,
Upgrade, Post-Upgrade Activities.
