Todd graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in
1975. After more than three decades in the world of
advertising, he decided to focus on his passion for fine
art. I am extremely grateful to be able to pursue my
passion, to have the opportunity to do what I love doing,
every day. Todd is currently represented by the
Providence Gallery in Charlotte, NC, and Olives in Fort
Mill, SC. He is a member of the Tega Cay Art League, the
Charlotte Art League, the Catawba River Art Guild and
the Charlotte Plein Air Painters.

April Exhibit High Country Visions

Frederick Craig Franz

SASI welcomes painter Frederick Craig Franz to the

Reavis Gallery for the month of April with a reception on
Saturday April 2, 6-8 pm. Craigs journey as an artist
began with career as a jeweler/craftsman, designing and
fabricating original creations in gold and silver.
studied drawing and painting in college, but did not
pursue those interests until into his 50s. An admiration
of impressionism helped guide his path. Working in soft
pastels and oils his award winning paintings are created
both en plein air and in the studio.
Craig lives at the foot of rugged Grandfather Mountain
and on the northern border of the Pisgah National Forest
in Avery County. The area lush with dense forests and
cascading streams and the nearby Roan Highlands
provide Craig with unlimited inspiration.
