Eifad Being an Engineer

Being one of the oldest children at Annur Childcare Centre, Eifad is very
mature and independent. Everyday he would be the first to finish all of his food.
Recently, he has been addicted to the train track set. He would build a very
long train track along with a few other children. The train track was so long that
it would go under the shelves and tables. He was very proud of what he has
achieved. He came to me and said Look, I build a long train track. Every time
someone broke the train track that he build, he would be very mad and upset.
I told him Its ok Eifad. You can build another one. A longer one. He start
building it again feeling excited, thinking about how long he can build it this
time.
Masha Allah throughout this activity, Eifad has gain some useful skills such as
creativity and problem solving. Eifad has developed his self-confidence as he
is feeling proud of his success and feel a sense of accomplishment. Using his
creative imagination, Eifad is able to put train tracks together in a variety of
ways. He was also able to think of different scenarios for roles to play with the
train set, creating stories in his heads relating to trains and other toys that he
bring into the mix. He has develop his problem solving skills which will be a
critical part of lifelong success. Every aspect of life involves the ability to solve
problems, whether solving simple problems or complex problems. By playing
with the train set, Eifad was able to learn how to build the tracks so the train
can continue to move without obstacles. He learns how to organise the trains
in a manner that increases the trains ability to move smoothly. Annur Childcare
centre has lots of activities that can challenge Eifads creativity and problem
solving skills. InsyaAllah I look forward to observe Eifads learning
development.
