HOMEWORK DUE OCTOBER 23rd

Directions: Choose a learning activity from one square to complete. Circle the number of the learning
activity you choose. If you choose the square, write your activity here, please see me with your idea first
to obtain approval before beginning work on your activity.

Create a childrens book about


the interior of the Earth. Your
book should have a
storyline. You
must include
information
about each layer
with at least 10 vocabulary terms.
Your book must be typed or
neatly handwritten in blue or
black ink and must include
illustrations that are neat,
colorful, attractive and accurate.
You must also include a title page
with an illustration. Proofread to
be sure that all writing is clear,
well-edited, and error-free.

Design an experiment
that shows how
density works.
Make sure to have
a detailed
procedure typed or written neatly
in blue or black ink.
Demonstrate your experiment to
the class. If you are going to
need materials for your
experiment, make sure to see
your teacher at least two days
before the due date so we can
have everything ready.

Compose a skit, song, or play


with a partner. Create a
story/scene about traveling
through the interior of the Earth.
Describe in detail what you see in
each layer. Write a script, locate
costumes and props, and
rehearse your skit. Present your
skit to the class. It must be at
least five minutes long. If you
choose to create a song, it must
be at least one minute long.

Create a model (computer


graphic or three-dimensional) of
the interior of the Earth. Make
sure to include details about your
model, including important
information about each layer of
the Earth. Your model should
not be poster with a picture on it.
