Bats are the only mammals in the world that can fly. There
are about 1000 bat species in the world, and they make up one
quarter of all the mammal species on Earth .
Bats are divided into two kinds: small bats and large bats.
They live every where in the world except in the Antarctic.

Most bats eat insects; however, some eat fruit, small
mammals, birds, fish and blood.
