2. Identify and provide an example of the powers of the Executive, both formal and
informal.
The executive branch tends to have quite a few powers written in the constitution which
they follow and then there are some where they arent written.
Formal powers: veto laws, commander and chief, appointing powers and ambassadors
Informal powers: Can take control of a situation without approval of congress, chief of state,
party leader and chief of party
3. Identify and explain how Executive shares powers with the Congress, Judiciary, and
bureaucracy.
The executive branch shares powers with congress, judiciary and the bureaucracy in way
that they all help one another. They make sure that no one category overpowers the other.
Congress basically helps and makes sure that the executive branch doesn't over power them.
Most things can't go beyond a point without some sort of congress approval. The executive
branch shares power with the judiciary branch by appointing people to serve in that area. The
bureaucracy is made of different departments that work with the president.

By the executive sharing powers with Congress, Judiciary, and bureaucracy, it keeps each
branch in check and follows the checks and balances idea. This means that no branch has more
power than the others and each branch is equal. By sharing power with bureaucracy, it ensures
that the people are kept involved and informed before any legislation is passed.
