Iam18yearsold,andIweigh135pounds.Iam52,andmyBMIis24.7.This
meansthatIamcurrentlyatmynormalweight,butIamclosetobeingoverweight.I
learnedmanythingsfromthecalorieintakeIlogged.First,theamountofcaloriesIate
dailyfluctuated.ThisisbecauseIdonthaveabalanceddiet.IfIdecidetoloseweight,I
needtoconsume1150to1350caloriesadayaccordingtomyage,weight,height,and
gender.IneedtopayattentionmoretowhatIeat.Thehealthierlifestyle,anddietIhave
willmakememoreenergeticinsteadofbeingtiredeveryday.Second,theonlyfruitIate
duringtheweekIloggedmyintakewerefivestrawberries.Idolikefruits,butitisnot
somethingIthinktoeatbecauseofalltheotherunhealthyfoodsthatareavailable.Idid
noteatanyvegetablesatall.Idontreallylikevegetablesatall,butIneedtothinkofa
waytoincorporatetheminmymeals.Ihaveseenjuicingbeagreatalternativetogetall
thenutrientswithouteatingvegetables,anditissomethingIneedtotry.Atlast,my
favoritedrinkis7Up.Itis140caloriesacan.IaddeduphowmanyIdrankthroughout
theweekanditaddedupto1,120calories.ThatisprettymuchawholedaysmealI
drank.Lookingatmylog,therearedefinitelymanychangesIcanmaketomydietto
liveahealthierlife.
TherearemanynutritionalgoalsIcansetformyselfhereonout.Themain
importantgoalistonolongerskipmeals.SometimeswhenIamrunninglateinthe
mornings,Iskipbreakfast.Ithasbecomeahabitlately.WhenIskipmeals,Ilack
energy,andfeelsleepy.Tostopskippingmeals,Iwillputasidesomethingthenight

fruitsandvegetablesdailywillhelplowermyriskofhavingserioushealthproblems
throughoutmylife.
MylastgoalistostopdrinkingsodaasmuchasIdo.AsIsaidearlier,addingthe
caloriesofsodaIdrinkinadayadduptoadaysworthmeal.Wateris0calories,anda
canof7Upis140calories.ThisisaneasyfixbecauseIcanjustsubstitutesodawith
water.Ishoulddrinkabouttwolitersofwateradaytokeephydrated.Substitutingwill
helpmeavoidtheemptycaloriesinmydiet,andwateralsohelpsflushouttoxinsoutof
yourbody.
Inconclusion,Ivelearnedmanythingsfromloggingmycalorieintake.OverallI
amnoteatinghealthyatall.Mymealsdonothavemuchnutritionalvaluetothem.Itwill
bebigdifferencefromchangingfromunhealthymealstohealthyones.Iwilldothis
slowlysoitwillnotbeadrasticchange,andsomethingIcankeepupwith.Mymain
goalsIneedtostartwitharetonotskipmeals,eatfruitsandvegetables,andsubstitute
sodawithwater.Loggingmycalorieshasbeeneyeopeningtostarteatingahealthy
balanceddiet.ItistheonlywayIcanlivealonglifewithouthavingserioushealth
problemslaterinmylife.
