Dear Friend:

I recived your card where you say that you are going to spend Christmas this
year in Venezuela and you ask me how we celebrate Christmas in this country.
I comment you, like you know, I spent the last year Christmas there and I
loved it, begins on December 16 with religious festivities up to 24 when ends
with a Christmas eves big family dinner and on December 25 the Christmas
day. Then on December 28 is celebrated the Santos Inocentes day with a
dance called Danza de locos and on 31 st is feted the end of year with
fireworks.
With respect to the gastronomy I liked the Christmas dish, La Hallaca and a
drink called Chicha. I count you that even on January 6 I was in a rural party
where we celebrated in a peasant party in honor to the tree wise men in a
festivity called Dia de Reyes.
I invite you to visit this beautifull country; I promise you that it will like you.

Estimado amigo
He recibido su tarjeta donde usted dice que usted va a pasar la Navidad de
este ao en Venezuela y me pregunto cmo celebramos la Navidad en este
pas. Os comento, como ustedes saben, pas el ao pasado la Navidad all y
me encant, comienza el 16 de diciembre con las festividades religiosas hasta
24 cuando termina con la cena gran familia de una vspera de Navidad y el 25
de diciembre, el da de Navidad. Luego el 28 de diciembre se celebra el da
"Santos Inocentes" con un baile llamado "Danza de locos", y el 31 es festejado
el final de ao con fuegos artificiales. Con respecto a la gastronoma me gust
el plato de Navidad, "La hallaca" y una bebida llamada "chicha". Cuento que ni
aun el 6 de enero estuve en una fiesta rural donde celebramos en un partido
campesino en honor a los rboles sabios en una fiesta llamada "Da de Reyes".
