The Riverside Police Department was out in full force over

Super Bowl weekend
Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over
The Riverside Police Department conducted special patrols this Super
Bowl weekend, looking for and cracking down on alcohol and drugimpaired drivers.
Officer worked a total of two special saturation patrols which focused
on speeding violations, seatbelts, and also removing impaired
motorists from the roadway.
During these saturation patrols Officers issued a total of 16 citations
for various offenses.

10 Speeding violations
1 Cell phone violation
4 other moving violations
1 DUI Arrest

The law enforcement crackdown is funded by federal traffic safety funds through IDOT and
is part of Illinois Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.
