What is Empathy?
Ability to share someone else's feelings
1990s Emotion in the Workplace
Bounded Emotionality Communication scholars, Dennis Mumby and Linda Putnam
(1992), asked us to begin looking at emotional life as a central focus of organizational
research and to consider the ways in which paying attention to emotion might lead to
new ways of understanding in the workplace.

You will be a better leader, a better follower, and most important, a better
friend.
When businesses fail, it is often because leaders have stopped focusing
on understanding their environment intimately and instead stay insulated
in their own operations (Boyers, 2013).
