Why is a man given a better chance to live

than swine or other animals?(p.3)

In the general aspect of life it is very

significant that us humans were given the
mental skills to forlong our life and better our
civilization. But yet as humans we disrespect
the animals by hunting, killing, and eating
them. When they should be give an equal
chance to live as humans do.

The Krsna consciousness movement is

trying to bring that spiritual existence to
humanity at large.(p.9)

This movement wants to bring spiritual

connection to people who arent in the
movement and bring peace to the body, soul,
and mind.

The first step is to know the difference

between a living body and a dead body. What
is the difference? The difference is that when
someone dies, the spirit soul, or the living
force, leaves the body.(p.26)

I really like this quote because it show that

you dont need to be afraid of death. That you
live in the soul and not the body.

If you want peace, you have to remove this

false conception from your mind and from the
world.(p.201)

This sentence really hits home for me

because
of my anxiety, but why I pick this is because is
saying how to relieve the stress you need to
stop the mindset of everything's your fault.
And
when you stop that you can move onto a
better mindset.

As a child grows, he becomes as boy, the

boy becomes a young man, the young man
becomes an adult, and the adult becomes an
old man.- According to the law of krsna, the
kind of body a person gets in his next life
depends on his activities and desires in his
now life.(p.174-75)

Personally I strongly believe in reincarnation

and a life after death. But I do wonder what
you reincarnate to if you have done bad in
your life, just like karma if youve done bad it
comes back around and hurts you. And if
youve done good things it comes back and
benifits you.

Jesus Christ said, Thou shalt not kill. So

why is it that the Christian people are
engaged in animal killing?(p.126)

This is a very good point because I also have

notice that a lot of hunters are very devout
Christian but yet they hunt and kill animal and
what Jesus Christ said is a commandment
meaning that one shall not go against this
commandment and if do so you have sinned.
But most Christians think it is okay to go
against this. But therefor it is forbidden to kill
in Christianity.

In the Krsna consciousness movement our

practice is that we dont allow the killing of
any animals.(p.127)

This is probably the greatest thing I could

possibly here because I love all animals.
When I see people hurt or kill animals it
breaks my heart. Because some people dont
understand or dont think the animals have
lots of emotions. Sometimes more emotions
than humans can show.

We are giving a spiritual culture that can

solve all the problems of life, and therefore it
is being accepted all over the world.(p.113)

The spiritual culture is an endless cure for

depression and hurt. And I love that they can
and they want to help people who are hurting.
Because they save people and help people
find themselves.

That is my anxiety. For myself I have no

This confuses me on how someone doesnt
anxiety, but I am thinking of those who are not get anxiety, everyone has anxiety to some
Krsna conscious.(p.258)
extent. But I do understand it at the same
time
because Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
is a spiritual guru.

Before taking his lunch, stand on the and

declare, If anyone is still hungry, please
come! Food is ready! If there is no response
-- takes his lunch.(p.203)

I wish more people would do similar stuff like

this, give them a meal to eat. There is too
many people in the world who struggle to
survive, or get food or a place to stay.

-Choose favorite passage from the book.

When we progress from the bodily platform and we see the mind as the center of sense
activity - Finally we can rise above even the transcendental platform and come to the mature,
spiritual platform.(p.169)

This passage of by far my favorite out of the book Science of Self-Realization. Some
people and I like to do meditating when they are stressed, anxious, need to calm down, etc. but
not everybody know how to actually meditate. In the book it said that most people sleep as their
form of meditating, others outside to see whats wrong something they can avoid. It says that
people need to look inside themselves to correctly see whats hurting them and to move it out of
the way to finally get to the spiritual platform.
What stuck out to me about this is when I first started meditation to help me see through
my problem and not self destruct. And when I first start meditating like this truly helped me
through my problem and to better myself. Seeing and understanding that what Ive went through
in the past was hard but to get it out of my mind and to move past. And being able to focus on
my spiritual platform and be in a peaceful world when I meditate is just wonderful and amazing.

Discuss in depth the relevance of the title.

Self-Realization
The book The Science of Self-Realization is an amazing title with a lot of meaning. The
title says Self-Realization, to find yourself and this book has helped me and many other people
find themselves. Im not one to like reading but I love this book and reading this helped me
through some tough moments. But the relevance of the title is that this book will help you find
yourself and it makes you think about important skills to remember.
This book has very meaningful passages and basically everything. When we progress
from the bodily platform and we see the mind as the center of sense activity - Finally we can rise
above even the transcendental platform and come to the mature, spiritual platform. It tells you
to look away from whats causing your pain and look inside yourself to fix yourself to cure your
mind. In this book.
