Letter of the Week
:
This week will be introducing vowel letter
Q Quail
and the two phonetic sounds it makes. We
will learn the writing of the letter and build
Q
words on our Word Wall.
Green
group: Reading A level Books and Sight Words in, the, and, at Family Words: it Blending beginning consonant
letters to the family word it bit, fit, hit, kit, lit, mit, pit, sit,. We are now starting to write sentences using our sight
words (a, in the, on, I,) and our itfamily words.
Blue
group: Recognition of letter, sound and printing of the letter (big curve, big curve O)
Language Readiness:
We are Journal Writing in our journals daily.

. Recognition of the number 6 the word and quantity of the number.
Math:
Sequencing Pictures / counting objects/Writing numbers

/recognition of the number words. Counting the
numbers 1-10.

The 100th day of school celebration event
:
On Monday, February 8th at 9:30. Dont forget to dress up like you are
100 years old!!! Each student needs to bring 100 items in a large zip lock bag in celebration of our 100 days of school.
Valentines Party:
On Thursday, Feb. 11th at 1:45. We will have an Ice Cream parlor party and get to decorate our

individual ice cream with toppings! The signup sheet to bring something is on the counter by the parent sign in and out
binder. Please remember to have your child bring 11 valentines for their friends. Thank you
PTSL Father/Daughter Dance-An Evening in Hollywood
February 19th 5:30-8:30pm. at the Harveston Center
located at 40135 Village Road in Temecula, 92591 Cost $30 per couple $10 per additional attendees. RSVP
flyer went home in Backpack mail. RSVP no later than Tuesday, February 12th.
Hug Project:

We sent the letters out in the mail box on Thursday. We will be waiting for our the responses from
family and friends. As the letters come in one by one..I will be reading each of them to the children and returning the
letter to the student. Thank you
Treasure Box Items
:
If any parents would like to donate items for our treasure box, the T-K and I would be so
thankful. The Treasure Box is used weekly as a reward earned towards the completion of our weekly homework
activity. Thank you Austins family for all our Treasure Box items!!!!!!!!!
Reminders:
*First Friday of every month, school ends at Noon for our minimum day. Afternoon Day Care is provided if

your child is enrolled in the program. Please remember if your child is staying for Daycare, to bring a lunch or $5 for
lunch.
Scholastic Books Organizer:
Mrs. Tammy Kulwicki will be our parent volunteer for organizing the book orders. With
each book orders that you purchase our class earns point rewards, which allows us to purchase free books for our
class! Look for more info in your childs file. You can register for the Reading Club online by entering the C
lass
