Engineering Intern Structural Focus

What we are looking for
Based in our San Diego, CA office we are currently seeking an Engineering Intern
(Structural Focus) of junior standing or higher enrolled in a Civil Engineering program to work on a
broad range of structural engineering and design projects. You will be assisting Project Engineers and
Project Managers with a wide variety of design, engineering and drafting tasks. In particular, this role will
provide a strong foundation in learning the fundamentals of AutoCAD and Microstation.
Requirements

Junior Year of University (or higher) in Civil Engineering Curriculum (or equivalent), with some
structural-focus coursework completed (concrete design, steel design, etc.)
Strong written and verbal skills
Excellent problem solving ability
Sound time management skills
Self-Motivated
Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
Ability to work on a diverse range of projects while applying newly acquired skills in AutoCAD and
Microstation

Candidates with the following skills will be given additional consideration:

Previous experience using AutoCAD or Microstation in a hands on/practical setting (e.g. prior
internship)
Previous experience with structural analysis software including (but not limited to) SAP2000,
ETABS, SAFE, RISA and ENERCALC
Previous experience gained in the consulting industry
Engineer in Training Certification (EIT)
