Message to veterans on W. 95th St.

housing
Dear Veterans:
I am writing to provide you with an update on the status of improvements and potential move-in dates
for 330 W. 95th St., which is where many of you are expecting to move.
We had hoped to have people relocating to this building by now. Unfortunately not all of the work
necessary to allow prompt move-ins has been completed. We are actively pushing for this work to be
done as quickly as possible, but we also cant relocate people until the necessary work is
satisfactorily completed. For example, before the building can be fully occupied the landlord must
install additional bathrooms and make extensive improvements to the kitchens and electrical system.
The project as now envisioned is better for all and that seems worth the wait.
The good news is that we do not have to wait for all of this work to be completed on every floor
before some people can move-in into areas where there are adequate bathrooms and renovated
kitchens. We presently expect to be able to move in approximately 50 veterans in about one month.
We expect to move another 50 additional veterans into the building approximately 5-7 weeks later.
Our hope is that the final group will be able to move in by July.
We think it is only fair to let you know where you personally stand. We will shortly inform each of you
as to the move-in group to which youll be assigned. Of course, you are free to take other housing
opportunities in the meantime.
We apologize for the delay in giving you these details and also for the delay caused by construction.
But our priority is to ensure that once you do move in you are comfortable and are not disturbed by
further construction.
We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we make your new home better.
Thank you.
Sincerely,

Steven Banks
