Locating Sex Offenders Countywide Now Easier
(Mesa County, CO)- You can now locate sex offenders in all of Mesa County by going to a
single website, thanks to the combined efforts of the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office and the Grand
Junction, Fruita and Palisade Police Departments. Not only does the new countywide sex
offender mapping system allow the agencies to combine their sex offender lists so that you can
search any address in the county to see if a sex offender is living nearby, additional features of
the site will provide users valuable information about sex offenders who are on the move.

To debut this new system, representatives from each of the agencies involved will hold a news
conference and demonstration on Tuesday, April 13 at 10am at the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office
training room. Members of the media are encouraged to attend to help provide the public with
valuable information about the new system and how area residents can use it.
