Phase 1: Rules and Guidelines

In OperAuto, the game revolves around the idea in which company is able to make
the automobile and cater to the market at the lowest cost and is able to maximize
profit at the same time.
The first phase of OperAuto is a bidding round where you have to bid for 6 plants.
The team whose bid for a particular plant is the highest will be awarded the plant and
called for the next round that is going to be an on campus event. Please go through
the rules mentioned below carefully.

Your total bidding amount is 400 Lakhs

You have to bid at least for 20 Lakhs for a plant.
For a plant, maximum bidding value is 100 Lakhs.
You have to put amount for all 6 plants as per your preference.
For example : ( P1: 70 Lakhs , P2 : 80 Lakhs, P3 : 25 Lakhs, P4 : 25 Lakhs,
P5 : 100 Lakhs, P6 90 Lakhs )
All bids have to be unique.
The bidding amount will signify your preference for each plant.
There are 4 suppliers for each plant. The distance of plant from each supplier and
the maximum delivery from each supplier is mentioned in the matrix given below.
Please go through the matrix carefully and bid accordingly.

Important Observations:
Labour issues are prevalent in supplier 3 factory.
Supplier 2 is in landslide prone area that can cause roadblock, forcing the
supplier to take alternate route.
Note :
Transportation cost from supplier to plant is per km per truck, i.e.
independent of units that the truck contains.
Truck capacity is fixed to a certain number of units.
A fraction of your bidding amount for the allocated plant will be deducted
from the total amount available for the entire game.

In case of any discrepancies, decision taken by OPEP Team stands final.

Please adhere to the limits mentioned, any discrepancies in data will lead
to disqualification of the team.
