ThisquestionisAssumedAnswered.
Hi,
Thesceneriois
User1isdoingthefollowingtransactionCreatestocktransportPOforamaterial(plant1000to
plant1100)CreateoutbounddeliveryVL10B(Goodsissueisalsodoneandheisinthescreen
MIGO(goodsreceiptinplant1100againstoutbounddeliveryforwhichgoodsissueisdone.Automatic
batchdeterminationisactivatedandthebatchisdeterminedbyFEFOmethod.
User2iscreatingasaleorderforthesamematerialfromplant2000.Subsequently,deliveryis
createdandbatchisdeterminedandalsothebatchdeterminedisthesameasthatoftheprevious
one.
Nowbothareinthesamescreen.Whentheuser2istryingtodoPGIthesystemisgivingerror
messagethebatchofthematerialislockedbytheuserbuttheinterestingthisifitisviceversaiewith
theuser2inthedeliveryscreenandtheuser1istryingtotakegoodsreceiptinplant1100,thesystem
isallowingtotakethegoodsreceiptofthematerial.
IalsotriedthefollowingchangeinconfigurationSPR0>MaterialsManagement>General
SettingsforMaterialsManagement>Setmaterialblockforgoodsmovements.
Ichangedfromlockexclusivelytolatelockbutthesystemisstillnotallowingintheabove
mentionedscenerio.
Cananyonetellwhyitissoandwhatistobetorectifythesame.

The"latelock"isthebestsolutionforlockingproblemsinthematerialmasterandthereforeshouldbe
activated.
Regardingthelockonthebatch,Iwasnotawareofthissituation,myconsultingcustomershavenot
reportedlockproblemswithbatches.
Youmightwanttocheckthelocksituationforuser1alonethenuser2alone.
Isthebatchlockedin"lock"listtransactionordoesitgettemporallylockedduringthePGIorGoods
Receipt?
Iseenoobvioussolution:itlookslikestandardfunctionality.
Isitreallyabigproblemfromabusinesspointofvieworsomethingtheycanlivewith?

Thanksforyourreply.ThelockisonlytakingtimetheusertakestodothetransactionMIGO
whichisratherquick.Butthethingwhichispuzzlingmeisthatthetransactionishappeningin2
differentplantsandmaterialisvaluatedatthatlevel.Howisthatthesystemwilllockifitis
postingtodifferentplants.
However,IalsosearchedforthenotestherearequiteafewnotesButIamnotsurewhichwill
berelevantlike633750,157423,1386253and70865.Ifanybodyencounteredthesameissue
pleaseshareyourexperience.

Thanksforyourreply.Butasalreadyinformed,theproblemisthatboththeuserarein
transactionof2differentplantsbutareusingthesamebatch.Morover,inthematerialmasterthe
availabilitycheckis02andforindicatorAandBblockisactivatedandnotforC(reservation).

That'sfinebutyouaredoingtwodifferentTransactionsandifyoudon'twanttheUserto
showasBlockwhilePGI,thenremovetheCheckagainsttheAvailabilityCheck.

Now,itwouldnotallowyoutoshowanyBlockingError&canperformtheSamefunctionality
asyoudowhileMIGO.

Ifuser1hasalreadycreatedthePOfortheMaterialandifUser2hascreatedthesalesorderand
doingdeliverythentheBatchnumbershouldbedifferent.Ifuser1&user2screensaregetting
blockedthentakehelpoftheBASISconsultantandtrytounlocktheuser1&user2screensandthen
check.asyouhavechangedfromlocktolockexclusivelytolatelock.

Itisnotalwaysthebatchbedifferent.Sometimesthebatchoftheparticularmaterialcouldhave
alreadybeendispatchedtoplantAandthesaleishappeningatthatplantA.Simultaneously,the
remainingmaterialcouldbedispatchedtoplantB.

IhaveasimilarproblemwhereIamusingMigoandPGIwiththesamematerialandsamematchin
sameplantbutthesystemshowsmethemessagethat"Batchislockedatmaterialbyuser".AndI
haveconfiguredthelateblockandtheproblemofusedthesamematerialissolvedbutnotthe
situationofbeingusingsamebatch.

HopeyoucanhelpmewhereIcanconfigurethissituation,sothesystemdoesnotlockedasame
batch.
