AU JARDIN

Association Jardiniers du Sud-Ouest Chives

January

Issue: 115
January, 2016

It was great to see so many of you at our New Year lunch until
the last minute we thought we were going to have to cancel
because there were so few bookings!
Congratulations to David Marshall, who won four third prizes for
his apples at RHS autumn fruit and vegetable competition in
October last year.
Next meeting, Tuesday, February 16th, 14:30.
Our next meeting will be the Annual General Meeting in Tillou.
We will keep this short and then Janette Sedgebeer will bring you
up to date on the plans for the garden at St. Fraigne and give a
talk on garden design in general.
Please come.
Anyone interested in joining the committee please give your
name to Sue.

... and a good time was

had by all.

Reminder:
Dont forget the bulb growing competition to be held in April. You will also be
able to enter earlier blooming entries by taking photographs of them. These
will be judged on the blooms, not the photography, so they must be of bulbs
you have grown yourself.

From our Chairman

As per usual, fantastic meal for our annual lunch; great to see so
many people. Big thanks to Sue and Alistair for arranging
everything.
Next event is our AGM; we will try to make the event as painless
as possible, so please, as many people as possible. Remember
that subs have to be paid before you can vote (10 p.a., the
same figure since the day we started )
If you have any ideas for visits, talks, activities let Sue or myself
know, all suggestions welcome, as long as they are legal.
AGM's are boring. Ours only last until the first snore. Please
support us and, afterwards, hear about our plans for the Special
Garden we are planning at Saint Fraigne.
Mike
