1. Literacy:

Read your leveled reading book aloud to your parents for 10 minutes per
night. Remember to fill out your reading log.
Turn in your reading log on Friday for
your teacher to check.
2. Literacy:
Each time you read this week, have your parents ask you some of the Book
Talk questions which are on the back of this sheet (or below on weebly). Answer them
orally.
3. Math:
Make sure that you are practicing your MAD Minute sheets that we send home
each week!!! We will start multiplication after Lunar New Year!!!
4. Writing Workshop:
We will begin to talk about how authors organize their writing in
different ways. We read a book in class called,
The Important Book
. The author talks
about important ideas and tells why they are important. A pattern she follows to
organize her writing, is starting and ending the story the same way. The kids need to
write about their Important Thing and include a drawing! Here is an example from
the book:
