KEY
QUESTIONS

Warm Up:
1. Golden Child- The class is split into two
groups (Four groups if the class is bigger), the
first group (A) lines up at the top of the goal
circle while the other group (B) stands on the
corner of the base line. On a command group A
will start to shoot, taking turns to try and get the
ball in the goal whilst group B runs around the
goal third each person stopping after a goal.
The last person in group B is the golden child
and collects the rest of group B whilst running.
2. Run-Throughs- Students all line up on the
base line to start the activity. Allocate a
movement for each third of the court. Once the
whistle is blown, students work through each
third of the court and perform the movement
allocated to each third.
3. Stretching- Using the Sworkit Stretching App,
create a five-minute stretching workout for
students focusing on arm and leg stretches. If
students have a customised stretching routine
for injuries etc. they are also able to use this as
well.

attacking and defending. One team leading for
the ball and passing to the remainder of their
tem whilst the other team defends.
2. 3x3 game play- In groups of three, Students
will play a game of three on three in the goal
circle shooting after five passes.
3. Half-Court- Eight students are designated a
half court and play a half-court game, heading
back to the centre every turnover or goal.

Cool Down:
1. Moderate Suicides- Students run to and from
all the lines of the netball court at a slow pace
as a cool down activity. Different actions can be
performed on each run if the teacher would like
to modify the drill.
2. Stretching- Using the Sworkit Stretching App,
create a five-minute stretching workout for
students focusing on arm and leg stretches. If
students have a customised stretching routine
for injuries etc. they are also able to use this as
well.

Learner diversity: Students who are injured and

cannot run can help in the setting up for the
remaining drills. Ensure students who have not
played netball before are paired with students
who have prior knowledge.
