DESIGN BRIEF
This brief covers the schedule by which the designer (Micah Lynn) and the client (Dr. David
Lee) will interact in order to produce the following deliverables:
New Masters of Materials Science Logo (with alternate lockups)
All final logo files in vendor-ready formats
Staionary Suite (letterhead and business card)
Printed Piece (see description below)
Screen-based Piece (see description below)
Wildcard (see description below)

RESEARCH
TO DESIGNER

I will provide a page of questions that will help me to further guage the program and the
space in the market (this includes a small list of up to 8-10 of your competitors). Once this
piece is returned I will creat a visual breakdown of your competitiors identities and visual
languages (to include logo breakdown, color palettes, and critiques of visual tone and elements).

Based on Creative Brief and Research I will provide 4 logo options.

LOGO DESIGN Round 02 - RESPONSE

Based on feedback from Round 1 I will drop some options and provide another 4 logo options of revisions and new work.
(Each option to include logo, alternate lockup and applied color palette)

STATIONARY SUITE Round 01 - EXPLORATORY

Taking part of the logo from the designing process and implementing it into a letterhead
and a business card.
(Each piece will have 2-3 options)

Based on feedback from Round 2 I will provide 2 reworked logo options.
(Each option to include logo, alternate lockup and applied color palette)

Based on feedback from Round 1 I will refine things into 2-3 reworked options.
(Each piece will have 2-3 options)

(Files will be delievered in .jpg and .pdf formats but other file types can be created as desired)

This document is a brochure, poster, info card, or any sort of print-based material. This can
be further discussed. Similar to the logo project, this project will have 3-4 rounds starting
