A range of ammunition types are provided for CTWS.
They offer solutions for land service applications for
troop suppression, anti armour and airbourne threats.
C h a ra c t e r i st i c s
The ammunition is of a novel design with the projectile
completely surrounded by propellant and enclosed within
the cartridge case. This means that the ammunition volume
is reduced for a given performance level.
The resulting ammunition is cylindrical in shape facilitating
the novel design of the compact cannon and associated
feed system. The size of the ammunition is 255mm x 65mm,
calibre 40mm.

Retrofit
C T WS
I n t e g ra t io n
The CTWS is a “drop-in” weapon
system solution which can be
retrofitted into existing or
integrated into future land, sea
and air platforms.
The systems principle elements
are weapon, feeder and cannon
control unit. The principal
system elements include
the weapon, feed system
and control unit.

I n t r u s io n
The CTWS with its “push through” weapon
firing cycle simplifies turret integration;
the compact design provides optimum
ammunition stowage, high angles
of elevation and minimum turret intrusion.
C T WS Pl a t f o r m s
The CTWS has already been demonstrated
in a range of platforms. These manned
and unmanned environments have been used
to undertake integration assessments
and a variety system risk reduction work.
